STEP -BY- STEP THROUGH THE TOA METHOD

Our TOA webinar series is a once-a-week, for eight weeks, learning progression that dives deep into the TOA training method. We will cover our movement observation assessment techniques, program design blueprint, exercise selection and progressions, business practices and more!

Our weekly webinar is delivered every Monday at 11:30 am pacific time. If you can’t join us at that time, no problem! You will have the recording and the PDFs provided to you to view at your convenience

Module 1: Introduction to the Blueprint

Module 2: Techniques for Collecting Data (ie.strategy session & testing)

Module 3: Introduction of Macrocycle & Data Processing (Pre)

Module 4: Individual Components (Hinge, Row, and Overhead Actions)

Module 5: Individual Components (Split, Carry, Fall Prevention)

Module 6: Implementation of Macrocycle & Date Processing (post)

Module 7: Business Practices Specific to Older Adults (referral vs. lead)

Module 8: Robert's Ten Strategies for Success Training the Older Adult

The TOA mentorship is a one day four hour in depth introduction into our TOA training philosophy, our mini-macrocycle, volume controls, exercise sliding scale and more!! 

 

Plus!! You are provided a systematic approach to build and develop “YOUR” own personal training philosophy and transferring it to paper for simple and consistent daily programming.

PR-TOA CERTIFICATION

PROGRESSIVE RESISTANCE TRAINING FOR THE OLDER ADULT

IN-PERSON TWO DAY CERTIFICATE COURSE

The Progressive Resistance Training the Older Adult (PR-TOA) hands-on LIVE (online) component is the final step in completing your TOA certificate. We will spend two full days together (12 hours) introducing, understanding and physically performing our “Staple 30” foundational movements. 

 

Due to the current pandemic, we understand travel is not an option right now; no worries though, we have converted this portion to online as well! We will address all three learning domains (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) to provide you every opportunity to hone your skill set and be ready to stay Training YOUR Older Adults clients safely and efficiently.
